Forming a plan

I know I'm pretty good with Kassadin but it seems I can't carry any games with him. But I can jungle Nocturne better in Solo Queue so I guess I'll be sticking with him.

Team picks:

The teams seemed nice. All I hoped for was not to have an incopetent player. And it seemed like it, as our Lux got First Blood on the enemy Caitlyn after Akali ganked their lane even before minions spawned. After that, we took control of the game and came to a pretty easy win with the distruction of their Nexus at 32:26.

Feeders everywhere!!!

...Because elo hell does NOT exist... Pfft...

Team picks:

Alistar was playing him for the first time... And if that wasn't good enough, a Katarina was picked... Of course, they had to duo bot lane which they failed... Misserably. Ashe got first blood on Katarina at the 3rd minute and the double kill on Alistar a few seconds later. And they kept dying, and dying, and dying... It was a feed fest!! And no matter how good I played, I couldn't possibly carry players who think they're playing a racing game or whatever... They where not playing League of Legends though, that's for sure... The game ended at 28 minutes with the destruction of our Nexus...

For real, one of these games...

...one more game like this and it will be the death of me...!!!

Team picks:

Nothing in particular to begin with. Exept Shako trolling the hell out of us in pre-game chat, his duo queue with Vayne assured us that he was a good player. So, in all good faith, we entered the game... Caitlyn got first blood on Vayne, not to our surprise because she had Morgana as her duo lane to support her... Still, the game went here and there, with both teams balancing the score on every turn. They did outfarm us by many creeps but it didn't seem to affect the game too much. Until the 30th minute, the game was either ones...

Then the game turned a bit south. Our Vayne wasn't the best one in the world and our lack of a pure tank started to show. Sion build a lot of AP and Alistar, that built only supporter items, started getting frustrated, threatening he will afk everytime he died. Still, we managed to push the opponents off everytime they tried to storm our base, but we didn't have any control on the jungle. Wards where scarse and mostly placed by myself. We DID manage to stop a Baron raid but that wasn't enough as they came back the next minute and did Baron again.

45 minutes in the game and a light stated to show. For some weird reason (well, not actually weird but I had in mind that Sion was a "tank") Sion started blasting people down. Anyone who was evern REMOTELY out of possition would drop instantly to the combined forces of me and him. And a master escape artist Shako made the enemy's life even worst. We managed to ace them and got their inhibitor before they took ours. They counter-pushed, got everyone exept me but, instead of pushing our base with only me defending, they got Baron again. A few minutes later they where storming our base and, with some AWESOME focusing from Sion and the rest of us, we got another ace... Then the race begun! We had almost 50 seconds to raid THEIR base, tank their towers and win the game (we had no time to wait for creeps to come). Sion, Shako and me had this mission. The inhibitor droped quite fast. 30 seconds left. One tower down with an almost dead Shako, then Sion moved over to blast away some creeps so the tower focused me. I didn't mind, I had enough HP and thought the tower would drop before I die. I eventualy riftwalked away to escape death just before the tower droped and started focusing the Nexus. Morgana respawned and managed to shoot away one spell that killed me right before their Nexus exploaded at 52.12. Way to turn a game over...

End game stats:

(Vayne's gold gain and creep score for a 52 minute game shows that it wasn't her best game...)

Seriously, I start not caring any longer...

Team picks:

All game long, watching Lee Sin and Malphite feeding like bosses.... Some players don't even recognise the efforts their teammates do and just stay back and let the other carry them... They just had to go in and die, die, die... For 46 minutes.... Idiots with a rock for a brain...

10th game!

After this game, my elo rank will be official...!!

Team picks:

Sometimes I wonder how good am I at predicting game outcomes. And seeing the enemy team and comparing it to our own, and the fact that Cho'Gath and Nidalee didn't get Flash or Ghost, I was pretty sure this would be a lost game. I kindda hoped someone would Queue Dodge the game so I could avoid playing it. But noone did and the game begun. And for the strangest of reasons, we started great with Gangplank getting an early First Blood on Nasus. But my instict was true. That Cho and Nida where premade (99% Albanian players) who never said anything in chat in english, and they failed bottom lane so hard that, even though we dominated top and mid lanes and had shut off warwicks ganks, by focusing on these two champions first, almost all teamfights went south... Only light of hope to win this game came from me and Gangplank. Especially after the 20th minute, I had started dealing game changing damage and, combined with Gangplanks crits, we managed to win a few fights. But, even though all we needed from these bad players was to play defensive and let us do the hard work, they kept getting theirselves killed over and over. Near the end of the game, I probably made the mistake that cost us the game alltogether when I missed Warwick with my Force Pulse, having to hunt him inside the enemy team and getting killed. By the time I respawned, our Nexus was almost destroyed. And I say "almost" because the game ended with a 4/1 surrender (yeah, guess who the "1" was once more) at 33minutes.

Another Duo Queue

A friend of mine invited me at a ranked game, someone which I hadn't playied in a while. Still, I gave it a shot since we would have the advantage of Skype communication.

Team picks:

We had the advantage of a support champion and his CV (playied by my Duo). But they had two hard to drop front-liners, Cho'Gath and Mordekaiser. So the game was very balanced, in terms of picks. And I say "was" because Fiddlesticks and Caitlyn couldn't start this game worst. Caitlyn gave first blood to Mordekaiser right before Fiddlesticks died to his jungle creeps. After that, Mordekaizer and Miss Fortune over-run bottom lane and Fiddlesticks was just... Awfull. He even tried to gank Brand a few seconds before I got my Riftwalk, so Brand managed to escape us (since I couldn't reach up to Brand -he started with boots-). Also, I died too on a counter jungle by Lee, just before I get my lvl 6. We did manage to steal the Dragon from them though, so it was a nice bonus but it was short lasted as I witnessed Fiddlesticks dying AGAIN to jungle creeps. Well, at least he gave me the blue buff he was trying to get. For things to get even better, Taric had his router unplugged and had to take some time until he reconnected, leaving us to fight 4v5 for a significant amount of time.

We had a few wild cards on our hands though. One was Garen on top lane who didn't do "extremely" well, he just didn't feed or do bad either. And also, there was me. After my initial kill on Brand, I started roaming and ganking wherever possible. And I got kill, after kill, after kill until I was really farmed and became a threat once again. By that time, Taric had rejoined the match and with his help and Garen tanking, we won teamfights everywhere. Even after they got Baron, we initiated and wasted their buff getting an ace. The game ended at 42:16 with an army of Super Minions destroying the enemy Nexus.

Another loss... :(

Feeling confident isn't a good thing... Even if you're a good player...

Team picks:

The Anivia from last game asked me to Duo Queue. Seeing that he played great last game, I went for it. He took LeBlank this game in order to counter Swain's root. It was a solid plan to start with and worked too with LeBlank getting first blood on Swain (even though she died to an on-comming Cho'Gath, still, it was worth it). I did a few well placed ganks and we seemed to dominate both mid and bot lanes... Only gray spot was that Akali on top. What happened is that she got very farmed, both getting a few kills on Singed plus not having him farm as much as he should. But, in the end, we where against a team with 4 AP champions. So, we stacked on MR... We thought it would be enough... It wasn't... Akali was just unstopable. She had her team guard her and we couldn't reach her at all... We couldn't harrash her from range and we couldn't get near her as she vanished into her invisibility cloud. The rest of her team wasn't much of a threat but she alone made a difference. Game ended at 29:46 with a 4/1 surrender vote.

Noc + Anivia = win

I was 2-0 with this combo before this game and on this one nothing changed.

Team picks ( I finaly got a new way to show the picks and teams):

The whole team was awesome, Anivia got the first blood really early and after that, the game was a steamroll for us. I died twice, once to the blue buff golem that I tried to do with low HP and the other on a 1v1 with jax to show him that 1v1 don't matter on a team game... The game ended at 35:05 with the destruction of their Nexus.

4v5

Some say you can't win 4v5. Some even surrender as soon as possible under these situations. I don't... And for good reason!

Team picks and bans:

This game didn't feel good. 3 people (including me) where candidates for the role of ad carry, finaly giving it to Ashe, having Scarner jungle for the first time ever. Even so, the game started with the best conditions, since Nunu never connected to the game. And even though Sona got the first blood on Soraka and Kog'Maw followed up with a kill on Ashe, the odds where in our favour. I also died once to Anivia before I get to lvl 6 but it was by a last second auto attack that I could probably avoid. After a while, our numerical advantage started to show. All this when Ashe came into play. In almost EVERY teamfight, she didn't have her ulti ready  and since she started with Attack Speed items, she wasn't any help at all... Most of the times, she threw her ulti from across the map, not hitting anything at all (she even used her ulti to hit Anivia on mid -which missed anyway- whithout me even being there). And, on top of that, Talon was fixxed on pushing lanes. No matter where the team fought, he was on a lane far away to do anything. So, all that was left was me, Skarner and Soraka to pull through, and since Soraka was only Support, we where the main damage dealers. Unfortunately, I wasn't on my A-game either and when they focused me down, all I could do is pull out miraculus escapes and not helping my team at all. I was outfarmed in no time and Skarner was the only true threat for the enemy team. And Kog'Maw was getting stronger... And stronger... And he kept pushing and carried his team, now having Nasus to wall infront of them, to an awesome 4v5 victory that seemed impossible at some point. The game ended at 40:13 with the destruction of our Nexus...

Some days are full of noobs...

...and some others are not. This was one of the cases today!

Team picks and bans:

Even in team chat, my team showed that they where not random newbies. We discussed out picks in debth, prefering Irelia over Singed and Janna over Taric. First Blood didn't come early, we where already 7 minutes in game when Yi managed to get our Vayne for the first kill of the game. But little by little, we where outfarming them and a very good Anivia managed to get the team ahead in score. And when Irelia completed her Triforce and started to build more tanky, the game was pretty much over. It ended at 28:08 with a 4/1 surrender.

It was about time

I said it before, I don't really mind losing as long as I play well. But people blaiming me for their incopetence, that's where I draw the line.

Team picks and bans:

That Taric ban got me thinking about the team but it turned out that our Caitlyn was the only one that had any idea what she was doing the whole game (and Nidalee also). First blood came pretty early when Udyr ganked out bot lane. We tried our best to stand our ground but a horrible Alistar and an even worst Xin Zhao (he was still lvl5 while the opponents where lvl 8-9) didn't help our cause. I didn't mind Xin though. He was playing his game, he probably knew he wasn't doing any good and kept silent. But that Alistar... He blaimed the team for everything! Even after he dived in head first in a team of 4 and his only support where me and Cait, he blaimed us for not helping him get away... Well, I don't know about a future champ but as long as I play Kassadin, he never had a way to pull someone out of the battle or push away the opponents. But nooo... It was all my fault. The game ended after our second mid tower fell with a 4/1 surrender at 24 minutes. (I may have lost the match but at least I didn't quit the match.)

Almost Perfect

And I say "almost" because a perfect game requires 0 deaths from one team. We had 4.

Team Picks and Bans:

Tryndamere and Yi kindda instalocked. I was sure one of them would pretty much fail and I was hoping it wouldn't be Yi. And I was right! Not that Tryndamere was a bad player. It was just that he had a bad start and then he couldn't keep up. Irelia and Xin ganked Mordekaiser at top lane for first blood and then we got kill after kill after kill without much resistance. Master Yi DID die a couple of times but he surely made up for it. Irelia and me where the ones that didn't die at all the whole game and I'm convinced that if our teammates would be a little more cautious, this would have been a perfect game. It ended with a 5/0 surrender at 20:04

Starting off on the right foot!

I started the ranked game by mistake to tell the truth, cause I wasn't confident enough about my playing after Season 1 ended. Yet, everything went really well and... Well, you'll see!

Team picks and bans:
(Sorry, no screenshot cause I was thinking about how I started the ranked without wanting to! :P )
Blue Team: Twitch, Nidalee, Rammus, Vladimir, Taric
Purple Team: Nocturne (Me), Anivia, Nasus, Blitzcrank, Xin Zhao

Standard jungling route for me, now playing a more tanky Nocture, focusing mainly on Tri Force than damage dealing. The game started nice with Anivia getting first blood on Vladimir after I had her get the blue buff to boost her mana regeneration. After that, the game steamrolled to our side, having only being killed by an ambushing Twitch. He got a kill on me too right at the last second before they surrender at 20.20.

Season 2 is here!!

Finaly, after almost a complete month, Season 1 came to a close and our elo points got reset. I lost 22 elo points, droping me from the previously achieved 1254 elo to 1230 elo. But it's ok since top players lost way much more elo that this and have to work their way back up the ranks.

Of course, I will report on this here blog EVERY ranked game I will play in Season 2, seeing how much it helped me get that bronze medal at the end of season 1!

Oh, and by the way, here's the reward I got from having a bronze medal in Season 1!!

(yeah, it doesn't actually glow like this, but Photoshop insisted on making it more dramatic for my sake! :P Ty Photoshop! :D)

I know, it's not all that much but anyway, it's better than not having it at all!!

Hopefully, more prises like this will come with the end of Season 2!!

Stats on the right have been reset, Season 1 stats have been archived so... Let's begin!! :D
